We are delighted to be partnered with this distinguished accountancy practice based in Cardiff.  As one of the UK’s Top 35 independent Accountants and Business Advisers, they are committed to innovation, collaboration, and growth. Therefore, due to continued success, they are now looking to compliment their experienced and technical team with an Associate Director

Focusing entirely on advisory work, in this unique role the right person will:-Advise on business restructuring-Advise on HMRC tax clearances-Advise on financial  modelling-Interpret and advise on matters in a comprehensible and practical way-Liaise with specialists on technical matters.-Inform the team on relevant changes in law-Support colleagues on advisory projects and develop junior members of the team as they progress into this type of work-Build relationships with clients to garner work through referrals.

You will thrive in this role if:-You are ACA/ACCA or ATT/CTA qualified. CTA would be desirable, although we would consider supporting CTA studies-You have a sound understanding of accounts and their interaction with tax computations is essential-You have a broad technical knowledge across all taxes, in particular income tax, corporation tax and capital gains tax. An understanding of VAT, stamp duty and SDLT would be desirable-You have a keen interest in researching and understanding technical tax issues-You are ideas focused and able to deliver creative solutions-You have excellent Excel skills-You are client driven and commercially aware-You are an excellent communicator in a range of situations, both written and oral and your organisational skills are strong-You are a team player with an enthusiastic and flexible attitude to work and a desire to learn and progress-You have previous experience of working with legal firms, although this is not essential as we will happily help you to become someone who really knows how to be a valuable adviser in the sector.
