Interim Finance Business Partner

Finance Business Partner opportunity to join a large innovative Public Sector organisation for a six month interim assignment. The post holder will to support the Senior Finance Leadership team to deliver to drive the finance team forward.

Finance Business Partner, you will work closely with the Senior FBP team to ensure that the organisation delivers:

Key responsibilities of the Finance Business Partner:

  • To support the FBP in the annual budget setting process including the preparation of the Financial Plan for both Operational Budgets and the Wider Investment Fund Revenue & Capital budgets.
  • To support the FBP in the preparation of the monthly board pack aimed at providing up to date information at Project, Programme and Portfolio levels to a range of internal and external stakeholders on all activity, as set-out in the Annual Business Plan.
  • To lead on the Management Accounting arrangements for specific Projects (as allocated by the FBP), providing timely financial advice and support to Project Managers on all aspects of their Projects or Programmes.
  • To support the FBP in the review of and input into the Business Case process providing financial oversight in order to mitigate risk and monitor spend and performance. Support in the review of the Financial and Commercial aspects of project proposals and business cases received and to update the Wider Investment Fund as Business Cases are approved and implemented.
  • To support in the development of financial models where necessary to support the Innovation & Investment Framework and individual projects being developed as part of the process.

Essential experience of the Finance Business Partner

  • Qualified Accountant of equivalent
  • Recent Public Sector experience
  • Immediately available
