Internal Sales Executive

28,500 per annum + Commission

Monday to Friday with alternate Saturdays

We are looking for an Internal Sales Executive to join our growing team. You will ensure an excellent level of customer service and satisfaction, processing quotes, orders, and offering advice in respect of the product range to the customer.

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will be the first point of contact for customer queries; by phone, email, and in person over the counter or in the showroom.

In addition, you will look after your own customer account base, ensuring all customers are contacted on a regular basis.

Our client has been a long-standing business trading for over 32 years, selling Trade C DIY products for building and maintenance. Theysell to the trade market and DIY-ers, online and through our branch network, in Cardiff, Gelli, Gloucester and Swansea.

What you'll be doing:

  • Advising customers on the product range available and preparing relevant quotations. Monitoring quotations with a view to converting them into sales.
  • Taking sales orders from customers by email, phone or in person over the counter/in the showroom, advising them as appropriate of the products they require.
  • Processing orders keeping customers aware of any stock issues, or other problems, and offering alternatives if appropriate. Maintaining good relationships with purchasing and other internal departments as needed to ensure a smooth customer experience.
  • Ensure all customers on your account base are contacted on a regular basis, including drop off and low spend accounts. Ensuring an excellent level of customer service at all times.
  • To meet and exceed branch and individual sales targets.
  • Ensure that the counter and showroom area is kept clean, stocked and orderly at all times.
  • Maintain accurate records in OGL and maintain good working relationships and dialogue with internal departments as needed, to ensure a smooth customer experience and excellent levels of customer service.

What you'll need:

  • Sales experience, within the building plastics/products industry or similar. Excellent customer service skills.
  • Attention to detail and good organisational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. IT literate and numerate.
  • Formal sales training or qualification are desirable.
