  • We are seeking a dedicated Lecturer to join a college in Cardiff on a temporary, part-time basis at the Aberdare Campus. The ideal candidate will be qualified in either carpentry, plumbing, or electrical fields and will contribute to the education of students by sharing their expertise and knowledge.

    Day-to-day of the role:
  • Deliver lectures and practical sessions in carpentry, plumbing, or electrical disciplines, depending on your area of expertise.
  • Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials that reflect the curriculum and the educational needs of the students.
  • Assess and evaluate students’ progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters student engagement and success.
  • Collaborate with other faculty members to enhance teaching methods and curriculum development.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry practices and integrate them into the teaching process.
  • Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Carpentry/Plumbing or Electrical.
  • A teaching qualification or teaching experience is highly desirable.
  • Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
  • A current DBS certificate on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
