Reed HR are proud to be recruiting for a HR Administrator for a rapidly growing Cardiff based organisation. You will play a crucial role in supporting various HR functions and ensuring the smooth operation of HR processes. This position requires a proactive individual with strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Maintain and update the HR system and employee files to ensure accuracy and currency of data.
  • Support the management of sickness/absence and provide support to managers as required.
  • Liaise with managers to arrange disciplinary/absence review meetings and ensure the correct paperwork is issued.
  • Conduct Right to Work checks and ensure relevant documentation is collected and saved.
  • Assist the HR team with drafting letters and note-taking during meetings.
  • Process changes to employee terms and conditions, including job title, hours, salary, promotions, and bonuses.
  • Manage leaver administration effectively, including conducting Exit Interviews and notifying the Payroll Team.
  • Work with the HR Team to review and update HR Policies and Procedures as required.
  • Provide telephone advice to Line Managers and support the Recruitment function during recruitment drives.
  • Undertake the vetting process for all new starters, including issuing references and completing DBS and credit checks.
  • Respond to all external reference requests ensuring compliance with internal policies.
  • Support the HR Team in the onboarding of new starters.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and be proactive.
  • Experience in HR administration or a similar role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with HR systems and procedures.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
