Property Disrepair Officer
Location: Home based with travel to properties in South Wales
Salary: £28,000-£32,000
Hours: Monday-Friday 40 hours per week 8.30am-5pm
Contract Type: Permanent
Our client, a leader in housing solutions, is seeking a Property Disrepair Officer for South Wales. In this role, you will conduct investigations into property conditions after Service Users vacate, using findings and historical data to advise landlords/agents on repair responsibilities. You will also coordinate with the legal team on appropriate compensation offers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare letters, emails, reports, and other documents.
- Conduct on-site investigations into disrepair issues.
- Handle inbound and outbound calls regarding internal and external disrepair and close-out enquiries.
- Draft emails and reports for review by your direct supervisor.
- Maintain daily records and manage electronic and physical filing of caseloads.
- Analyse and summarise documents.
- Support the administration and management of close-out workflows.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute to team collaboration.
Required Skills:
- At least 2 years' experience in the property sector.
- Experience in a fast-paced team environment, managing competing priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Skilled in handling high volumes of verbal and written requests.
- Experience managing situations with multiple parties and competing interests.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Solution-oriented with a strong understanding of property law in England and Wales.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong administrative skills, including filing, system maintenance, and material preparation.
- Friendly and professional telephone manner with a positive attitude.
- Full, valid UK driving licence and car owner.

The successful candidate will need to hold a valid UK driving licence and will be required to undergo a satisfactory DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check, in accordance with the responsibilities of the role.
