General Manager - 6-12 months FTC - Full Time - Cardiff

Yolk Recruitment Public Sector and Not-for-Profit is proud to be working with a large health board whose priority is to ensure the on going health of their patients and people and who require a Theatre Manager on a fixed term basis. This is a role with vital responsibilities and people management requirements and is a huge opportunity for seasoned individuals with experience in public sector and health care.

Key Responsibilities include:

What the General will be doing:-

  • Effective strategic Operational Management of the Directorate
  • Lead change in the Clinical Board's quality improvement programme.
  • Work with colleagues to review and re-design services in order to meet the needs of patients and help achieve key performance indicators and reduce costs.
  • Undertake line management responsibilities for direct reports, e.g. recruitment, PADR's, sickness absence, staff development, etc.
  • Travel between sites to carry out the remit of the role.

What the General Manager will bring to the team:-

  • A recognised Management Qualification
  • A record of successful management of change in a complex organisation
  • Masters Degree in a relevant discipline or a demonstrable ability to work at Masters Level
  • Well developed leadership and motivational skills.
