Our client, a not for profit organisation, seeks a HR Advisor to join its dedicated team to provide additional support on key projects including job evaluation and process improvements as well as assist in clearing the backlog of ER cases.
The ideal candidate will already have proven HR experience and be keen to be work on various projects in an organisation that has cultivated an incredibly loyal and dedicated workforce. The role is offered initially on a 3 month fixed term basis, however there is the potential for longer term. There is a highly flexible and hybrid working policy on offer.
The job
- Provide advice, guidance to support staff and Managers on all HR matters including employee relations, policy interpretation, people development, absence management and reward.
- Preparation of case information for presentation at formal employee relations meetings, including grievance, disciplinary, capability, attendance, and bullying & harassment, escalating where appropriate.
- To work with to the Investigating Officer during the disciplinary process, providing employment law and policy guidance to ensure fair and accurate outcomes.
- Lead the employee support and wellbeing processes e.g. undertaking welfare meetings and making appropriate occupational health referrals. Arranging and leading on capability review meetings, to ensure timely outcomes.
- Work in collaboration with the Training team to manage the onboarding end-to-end process.
- Supporting team managers in the probationary review process including supporting in meetings and confirming outcomes in writing.
- Supporting on HR projects when required
The person specification
- Previous experience as a HR Officer/Advisor
- Knowledge of UK Employment law legislation
- Strong communication skills
