Autograph Recruitment is delighted to work with this award-winning Accountancy Practice based in Cardiff. Offering accounting, taxation and business advisory support services to a wide range of businesses and individuals throughout the UK.  They successfully manage complex accounts for a variety of customers, providing their reputable clients with a proactive approach to professional business and tax advice.

We are now looking for an accomplished and proven HR Advisor to join their close-nit team. This role will be based in their Cardiff office, with occasional travel to the Swansea office.  This is an opportunity to be able to work autonomously in a dynamic, busy environment, within a growing, reputable business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional HR advice to managers and employees on policies, procedures, and employment law.
  • Support recruitment and onboarding processes, ensuring that they attract and retain top talent.
  • Assist in managing employee relations, resolving conflicts, and supporting disciplinary and grievance processes.
  • Deliver HR projects and initiatives that enhance employee engagement, performance, and development.
  • Help drive the performance management process, including appraisals and development plans.
  • Support the development and delivery of training programs and initiatives.
  • Maintain and update HR records and databases, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Stay informed about changes in employment law and best practices, offering proactive advice to mitigate risks.
  • Work closely with senior HR colleagues on strategic HR initiatives and workforce planning.

About You:

We are looking for an HR professional with a strong background in generalist HR work, ideally within the financial / professional services sector, although this is not essential. You will have a proactive approach and an ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will also have:

  • CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) or equivalent experience in HR.
  • Proven experience in an HR Advisor or similar role.
  • Strong, up to date knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
  • A collaborative and solution-focused approach to problem-solving.
  • Discretion and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
