Reed HR are proud to be recruiting for a HR Partner on behalf of a Public Sector organisation based in Cardiff. You will deliver top-notch HR best practices throughout the organisation, ensuring the acquisition of talent necessary to keep the workforce engaged and motivated. You will collaborate with Senior Leaders, Managers, and staff, providing advice, guidance, and partnership on all HR matters, including recruitment and onboarding, while managing complex cases related to conduct, attendance, and performance.

What you'll be doing:

  • Provide timely, accurate, and consistent HR advice, guidance, and constructive challenge, considering HR policies, statutory obligations, and best practices to support managers and staff.
  • Support, develop, and coach managers to handle HR issues within organizational policies, procedures, and good practices.
  • Facilitate collaboration between line managers and staff to find joint solutions to issues. Assist managers in managing complex and sensitive cases related to conduct, wellbeing, attendance, and performance.
  • Brief business area meetings as needed on HR updates and dashboards.
  • Facilitate the recruitment of the right people at the right place and time, from job description development to onboarding. Collaborate with colleagues to promote an attractive brand to attract top talent.
  • Ensure the induction process for new starters is engaging, motivating, and comprehensive to set employees up for success.
  • Produce monthly/quarterly HR management information and updates for the relevant business area.

What you'll have:

  • Degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • CIPD qualified (Chartered Member MCIPD) with ongoing CPD.
  • Skilled in fostering positive and professional relationships with staff and external contacts.
  • Proficient in analyzing business process information flows to identify and implement best practice improvements.
  • Competent in using e-packages, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
