Yolk Recruitment are currently hiring for a South Wales / West based Technical Analyst on an initial 3/4 Month contract with likely extension.

As a Technical Analyst, your primary responsibility will be to deliver exceptional customer service and technical support for desktop applications. This role is crucial to ensuring the success of a major Windows 11 upgrade, including managing application troubleshooting and overseeing multiple software deliverables

Your main job is to provide technical support and advice for desktop applications, particularly during the Windows 11 upgrade process. You'll ensure that all IT services are running smoothly and fix any issues that arise, ensuring that the systems are reliable 24/7. You'll also coordinate testing and make sure everything is documented properly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Windows 11 Troubleshooting: Identify and fix issues related to the Windows 11 upgrade. Provide guidance to the team on resolving these issues.
  • System Management: Deliver operating systems through tools like SCCM and Intune Autopilot.
  • Incident Resolution: Handle and resolve any 3rd line desktop problems, particularly those related to the Windows 11 upgrade.
  • Documentation: Create clear documentation and procedures for troubleshooting and fixing issues.
  • Customer Service: Ensure excellent customer service is provided at all times.
  • IT Governance Compliance: Follow all IT governance policies and procedures.
Required Skills:
  • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of troubleshooting Windows 11 and related upgrade issues.
  • Tools Proficiency: Experience with SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) and Intune Autopilot.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong ability to diagnose and resolve technical problems.
  • Customer Service: Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Documentation: Ability to create clear and effective documentation.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work during evenings or weekends when necessary for testing and support.
