Role: IT Engineer
Location: Cardiff (Hybrid)
Salary: Up to £45,000 p/annum

CPS Group is supporting a large public sector organisation in hiring an IT Engineer to join an established team responsible for maintaining the organisation's infrastructure and driving its digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

* Identify and implement optimal cloud-based solutions while managing, monitoring, and maintaining both on-premise and cloud platforms.
* Troubleshoot incidents, determine root causes, apply fixes, document issues, and implement preventive measures.
* Lead server projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget.
* Communicate IT initiatives, priorities, and progress to key stakeholders, fostering collaboration between IT and other business units.

Essential Skills & Experience:

* Proven experience in architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions on cloud platforms.
* Knowledge of NAS and SAN storage technologies.
* Expertise in AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
* Strong understanding of Microsoft Server Technology and Hyper-V clustering.
* Experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Database Architecture
- Business Intelligence
- Big Data
- Machine Learning
- Advanced Analytics
