Graduate Town Planner - Cardiff

A leading planning, design, and development consultancy is looking for a Graduate Town Planner to join their Cardiff team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across the UK, gaining hands-on experience in a collaborative and innovative environment.

About the Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Assist in the preparation and management of planning applications, development appraisals, and evidence-based studies
  • Work closely with clients and local authorities to navigate planning policies and procedures
  • Support the team with research, analysis, and report writing
  • Contribute to solving complex planning challenges, including listed buildings, appeals, and heritage appraisals
  • Develop skills in master planning, environmental impact assessments, and land promotion
Key Skills & Requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
  • Keen interest in planning policy, local authority processes, and development regulations
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving
  • Working towards RTPI accreditation is desirable
