Teacher of Biology

Staffroom Education are currently recruiting for a Teacher of Biology on behalf of one of our Secondary Schools in Cardiff. This is a full-time role with an immediate start date.

The school have requested that the ideal candidate will have an excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and 4. I would also encourage applications from Teachers who are aspiring to progress their careers to include Y10 and 11 exam classes, as this is a great opportunity to do just that.

The ideal candidate for this position must have the ability to teach Sciences across all key stages, in particular Biology, and have a passion for raising achievement and maintaining high expectations for all pupils. • A First-class subject knowledge;
• The ability to build strong working relationships with staff and pupils;
• To remain up to date with educational developments and changes whilst undertaking the role;
• Show consistently good to outstanding planning, teaching and marking skills;
• Commitment in attendance of departmental meetings / Parents evenings etc;
• Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health and safety, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person;
• A willingness to be involved in the wider-school community.
