REED Procurement are partnered with an organisation who are undergoing some really exciting transformation at the moment which is resulting in an increase in head count across their Procurement team. They are looking for an Operational Procurement Officer on a permanent and full time basis. This is a hybrid working role where you will be on site once per week, and will benefit from some exceptional perks such as 43 days holiday per year!

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Administrative Support: Efficiently raise and approve requisitions and GRNs on Tech One, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
  • Contract Management: Ensure the correct upload and recording of contracts and documents into the contract module when raising requisitions, and facilitate contract signatures for values under £30,000 (including VAT) in accordance with financial regulations.
  • Year-End Insights: Provide valuable insights to our Finance Business Partner team and the broader Procurement team to meet operational needs.
  • Email Management: Monitor, manage, and respond to procurement queries in the email inbox on a rotational basis, redirecting as necessary.
  • Quotes: Request quotes from Travel Management Companies for travel and accommodation on behalf of designated stakeholders. Submit category change requests and place orders via procurement cards when an existing supplier cannot be utilized, and reconcile monthly statements.
  • Supplier Approval: Facilitate the approval of new supplier requests on Tech One, completing all necessary compliance checks (excluding financial credit checks).
  • Customer Service: Maintain active communication with stakeholders regarding procurement policies and procedures, providing guidance to keep them informed about operational requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with stakeholders and the wider Procurement team to recommend and implement improvements in established processes and procedures.
