Your new companyAn SME that offers consultancy services to issues relating to water in the environment. They support a diverse client base of regulators, national businesses and private individuals.With bases in Oxfordshire and Cardiff, they work on major infrastructure projects such as wind farms, solar farms and transport infrastructure across the UK.Your new roleThey are looking for an EIA consultant position to report into Cardiff, you will work on projects up to £25,000 in value and support on other more complex projects. In time, you will be able to support their wider consultancy services, such as hydrogeological projects.

  • Working on Environmental Impact Assessments (hydrogeology, hydrology and water environment chapters) in relation to fieldwork, analysis and report writing.
  • Undertake site visits and fieldwork to support consultancy and water monitoring projects
  • Attend client meetings
  • Attend external and on-the-job training (with the aim of achieving chartership under CIWEM, ICE or Geological Society)
  • Use GIS and other software's to interpret data
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure timely delivery of projects
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory processes
  • Support on marketing with the help of senior leadership

What you'll need to succeed

  • A relevant degree
  • Some proven experience in undertaking water-related chapters of Environmental Impact Assessments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
