Quality Advisor- Carlisle:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Advisor to join our team on a 6-month project (minimum) at Harker Substation in Carlisle.
We can pay outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain a robust quality management system, ensuring all construction activities adhere to project specifications and industry standards.
- Inspection and Verification: Carry out regular inspections of materials, equipment, and workmanship to identify and address any potential non-conformities.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and quality-related issues, preparing clear and concise reports for the project team.
- Communication and Collaboration: Work closely with the site team, subcontractors, and clients to ensure effective communication and collaboration on quality-related matters.
- Risk Management: Identify and assess potential quality risks, implementing mitigation strategies to minimize their impact.
- Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance quality processes and procedures.
- Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to site personnel on quality procedures and best practices.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Valid CSCS card
- SMSTS qualification
- First Aid certification
- Proven experience working as a Quality Advisor on substation projects, ideally within a tier 1 contractor environment
- Strong understanding of quality management systems and procedures
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- 2 professional references
