Market Leading Company in Carlisle  are looking for a Property maintenance Manager based in the Head Office to cover a substantial number of properties across England, North Wales and Scotland. The successful candidate will be required to travel throughout the region managing the maintenance of our Company’s property portfolio.

Job Overview

  • Plan preventative maintenance activities for all properties owned/leased by our Company and check that the day-to-day maintenance is up to date and completed to the required standards, and within agreed budget.
  • Produce technical reports following building surveys on planned and reactive maintenance as required
  • Create technical specifications in relation to identified defects that comply with the relevant regulations.
  • Find appropriate contractors for maintenance work and ensure all work carried out is to the expected standards from start through to completion
  • Ensure budgetary constraints are adhered to at all times and monitor all invoices
  • Regularly communicate with consultants and landlords to ensure building regulations are met and project requirements are delivered effectively
  • Provide advice on technical solutions, budgeting, planning and best practice
  • To retain a log of calls and maintenance issues and priorities the resolution as necessary
  • To be available outside of office hours for emergency cover and support .
  • Additional ad hoc duties they may arise

Job Requirements

  • Previous experience in property maintenance, surveying and contractor management as well as an understanding of building and construction methods
  • Good understanding of financial control and work planning and scheduling
  • Desirable to hold a formal qualification in Building maintenance / Surveying however this is not essential
  • The successful candidate must be willing to undertake further training for continued development
  • Must have full valid driving licence and be prepared for weekly travel throughout The UK (Company car provided)
