What You'll Do:
  • Produce Monthly Accounts: Prepare monthly management accounts with detailed cost centre analysis, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Lead a Small Finance Team: Supervise and guide a finance team of two, who cover bank reconciliation, purchase ledger, sales ledger, and credit control functions.
  • Collaborate with Directors: Support the leadership team on a variety of projects, including costing, pricing, and tendering for new contracts.
  • Manage Fixed Assets: Oversee the fixed asset register, including calculating depreciation.
  • Year-End Coordination: Liaise with external accountants to assist with year-end statutory accounts.
  • Payroll Management: Ensure smooth processing of payroll for 200+ employees, keeping everything compliant and efficient.
  • Software: Using Sage Accounting, so experience with this or similar accounting software is a big plus.
