The firm handles a broad range of property transactions, from local clients to those based nationwide, providing a varied and dynamic caseload.This is a fantastic opportunity for a Property Lawyer to join a forward-thinking legal practice, where your skills will be valued, and career progression actively encouraged.The Role:As a Property Lawyer, you will be responsible for running and managing a varied caseload of residential property transactions, ensuring all matters progress smoothly from instruction through to completion. You will work within a supportive team and be expected to maintain a high standard of client care while meeting individual and team-based targets.Key Responsibilities:* Manage a Caseload: Handle a full caseload of residential property transactions, including sales and purchases of freehold and leasehold properties, transfers of equity, and remortgages. * Meet Targets: Achieve individual and team targets, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs), ensuring transactions are progressed efficiently and in line with the firm's quality standards. * Client Communication: Communicate with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other third parties regularly via phone, email, and in-person meetings. Ensure clients are kept up to date with the progress of their matters. * System Management: Utilise the firm's bespoke in-house case management system to effectively manage and progress files. Provide regular updates and ensure accurate record-keeping throughout the conveyancing process. * Compliance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations, CQS protocols, and SRA standards. This will include the preparation and review of necessary documentation in line with legal and compliance frameworks. * Collaborate: Work closely with other team members, including legal assistants and paralegals, to ensure the smooth running of transactions and that all matters are handled efficiently and to a high standard. About You:To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate technical competence in conveyancing and a commitment to delivering excellent client service. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in residential property law, with a proven ability to manage their own caseload.Essential Requirements:* A minimum of 1 year's experience in residential conveyancing, ideally within a busy legal practice. * Technical knowledge of the conveyancing process from start to finish, including sales, purchases, transfers, and remortgages. * Familiarity with compliance standards, including AML, CQS, and SRA regulatory requirements. * Competent use of MS Office programs and the ability to quickly learn new case management software. * Excellent communication skills-both written and verbal-and a client-focused approach. * Ability to work to KPIs and SLAs, ensuring all transactions are progressed efficiently and within agreed timeframes.
