My well-established client in Carlisle is seeking a highly skilled Operations Manager to oversee key contracts and support their dynamic Operations Team. This pivotal role is essential for maintaining exceptional communication with clients, offering expert technical advice, and ensuring the meticulous planning and organisation of resources for various projects.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities and a proven track record in operations management. They will be responsible for driving operational excellence, fostering a collaborative team environment, and implementing strategic initiatives to optimise efficiency and productivity.

Day to day of the role:
  • Manage key contracts and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Provide technical advice on safe and cost-effective methodologies for work.
  • Liaise with the Operations team to coordinate resource availability for client work scopes.
  • Offer product and equipment knowledge as part of the company’s pricing and tendering process.
  • Plan and organise labour, equipment, and materials for projects in conjunction with the Operations team and Contracts Manager.
  • Assist various company departments, including human resources, procurement, QHSE, and finance, to ensure seamless communication on operational activities.
  • Uphold quality service by establishing and enforcing organisation standards.
  • Be available on-call outside of normal office hours when required.
  • Work collaboratively with other Operations staff to achieve company targets.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in operations Manager or a similar role.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Technical knowledge relevant to the industry.
  • Ability to provide advice on project methodologies.
  • Experience in planning and organising project resources.
  • Familiarity with quality standards and enforcing organisational standards.
  • Flexibility to be on-call as needed.
  • Team player with a commitment to achieving company goals.
  • Driving licence.
