Senior Quantity Surveyor

£65-£70k plus car allowance

40hrs per week – Site-based – Mon-Fri

We are recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team delivering the civils work on the Harker Substation project.

Duties

  • Managing all costs relating to the building and civil engineering projects
  • Ensuring projects are completed within the projected budget
  • Providing financial and commercial advice to the project team
  • Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
  • Monitoring and controlling costs throughout the project lifecycle
  • Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks
  • Managing subcontractor procurement, payments and final accounts
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards

Experience and Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the construction or engineering sectors
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, tender processes and cost control mechanisms
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
  • Experience of NEC 4 Option A
  • Chartered
