The Role:As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will:
- Lead and manage the cost control function for the energy substation project, ensuring accurate cost estimates, budget management, and value engineering.
- Prepare tender documents, negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, and manage payment schedules.
- Monitor project costs, track variations, and implement cost-saving measures.
- Prepare and manage cost reports and claims.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant contractual obligations, industry standards, and regulatory requirements specific to the energy sector.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, site managers, and subcontractors to ensure effective cost control and project delivery.
What We're Looking For:
- A proven track record in quantity surveying within the construction industry, ideally with experience delivering major energy infrastructure projects, particularly those involving substations.
- A strong understanding of energy sector regulations, best practices, and cost control methodologies specific to substation construction.
- Excellent knowledge of relevant cost estimating software, measurement standards, and contract documentation.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- A proactive and solutions-oriented approach to cost management, with a commitment to delivering projects within budget.
