Your new company
Our client is an ambitious, owner-managed, diverse group of businesses associated with the construction industry based in Carlisle.
They have a strong local presence and an excellent reputation with their customers throughout the local area.
Due to the upcoming retirement of the current post-holder, we are looking for a talented Accounts Manager to work closely with the 2 Directors to ensure the financial information for the group businesses is processed in a timely and accurate manner to aid strategic business decisions.
Your new role
Working closely with the 2 company Directors, the role offers varied duties that include:

  • Processing all financial transactions for the Group companies on to Sage line 50
  • Reconciliation of the monthly debtors and statements are processed
  • Project expenditure is recorded and billed to customers on completion
  • Processing subcontractors checking tax statuses and deductions
  • Preparation and reconciliation of the monthly CIS for 3 of the Group companies
  • Processing payroll on Sage Payroll for all employees and enter Payroll journals
  • Preparation and reconcile VAT returns for the 5 group businesses, calculate partial exemption for other.

What you'll need to succeed
Experience in a similar Bookkeeping / Accounts Manager role with strong Sage experience
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a small team
Good Excel skills
Self starter

What you'll get in return
Salary 30,000 - 35,000 per annum dependent on experience
28 days annual leave
Full-time hours, Monday to Friday with flexibility, will also consider 4 days and reduced hours
