Reed Education is dedicated to providing Whole School Recruitment to Secondary Schools across Cumbria & Lancashire. We are currently seeking a dynamic English Teacher to join a school in Cumbria on a long-term basis. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of the curriculum, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to creating an engaging learning environment.
Day-to-day of the role:- Teach English to students at KS3 and KS4 levels; experience with KS5 would be an advantage.
- Develop and deliver engaging and effective lesson plans that meet curriculum standards.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student learning and growth.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to encourage academic development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and participate in professional development opportunities.
- Must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Recent relevant experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4 levels; KS5 is advantageous.
- Excellent classroom management skills and strong subject knowledge.
- Reliable, committed, and capable of being a good role model displaying qualities such as compassion, trustworthiness, politeness, and good listening skills.
- Good interpersonal skills, punctuality, patience, and confidence when working with children.
