About the Role:

Randstad is seeking a compassionate and experienced Mental Health Support Worker to provide evening and weekend support for children with mental health needs in the Cumbria area. This role involves delivering tailored care plans and ensuring the well-being of children, while working effectively with families and other healthcare professionals. Make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide evening and weekend mental health support for children with various mental health conditions.
  • Communicate effectively with families and healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care.
  • Implement individualized care plans and monitor progress.
  • Offer emotional support, guidance, and practical assistance to children and their families.
  • Ensure a safe and nurturing environment for children, following established protocols and policies.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of care and interactions.

Requirements:

  • 6+ months of experience working in children's mental health.
  • Availability for evening shifts and at least 8 hours over the weekend.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential.

Mandatory: Access to own car and willing to travel within 1 hour of work location
