About Us:Randstad is partnering with the Adult Social Care team in Carlisle to recruit a proactive and detail-oriented Social Worker for High-Cost Transport Reviews. This role focuses on ensuring effective and sustainable transport solutions for adults in need, contributing to efficient resource management and improved service delivery.

Job Description:As an Adult Social Worker conducting high-cost transport reviews, you will assess and review current transport arrangements for adults in receipt of support. The role requires balancing cost efficiency with maintaining access to essential services, fostering independence, and meeting individuals' needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and review transport provisions for adults with care needs, focusing on high-cost arrangements.
  • Manage your own diary
  • Minimal traveling to and from the area.
  • Work with service users, families, and providers to ensure transport solutions meet needs effectively and sustainably.
  • Develop and implement revised transport plans, promoting independence and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with multi-agency teams and transport providers to deliver coordinated and tailored solutions.
  • Ensure all assessments and reviews comply with statutory guidelines and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, reporting on outcomes and savings achieved.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
  • Experience in adult social care, particularly in assessing and reviewing services.
  • Strong understanding of transport arrangements within social care settings.
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload and work effectively under pressure.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Care Act 2014 and safeguarding procedures.
