About Us:Randstad is excited to partner with the Children with Disabilities (CWD) team in Carlisle to recruit an experienced and dedicated Social Worker. In this role, you will work with children with disabilities and their families to ensure they receive the necessary support, care, and resources to enhance their well-being and development.

Job Description:As a CWD Social Worker, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of children with varying needs and disabilities. Your role will involve conducting assessments, creating care plans, and working collaboratively with families and multi-agency teams to provide the best outcomes for children and young people.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of children with disabilities, ensuring their needs are assessed and supported.
  • Develop and implement care plans that focus on the well-being, safety, and development of each child.
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide safeguarding support where needed.
  • Advocate for children and ensure their voices are heard in decision-making processes.
  • Attend and contribute to multi-disciplinary meetings, including safeguarding reviews, care plan reviews, and court proceedings when required.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with statutory guidelines and professional standards.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
  • Extensive experience working with children with disabilities or in a similar social work role.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, safeguarding procedures, and care planning processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with children, families, and professionals.
