Vision for Education is seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join our team at a renowned SEND Further Education College in Carlisle. This is a full-time position with an immediate start, offering an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of young adults with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach a diverse range of subjects including Employability Skills, Independent Living Skills, and Skills for Work.
  • Develop and deliver engaging, inclusive, and differentiated lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of students.
  • Support students in building the skills necessary for independence and successful transitions into adulthood and the workforce.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members, including teaching assistants and support staff, to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and adapting teaching strategies as needed.
  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment, promoting the well-being and personal growth of all students.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with students with SEND, preferably in a further education setting.
  • Strong understanding of SEND education, with a focus on employability and independent living skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
  • Patient, empathetic, and passionate about making a difference in the lives of young adults with special needs.

Salary

£600-£800 per week

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
