The Spencer Clarke Group are pleased to be working exclusively with an impressive, long standing business based in the Carnforth area to recruit a Management Accountant to join an inspiring team.

This acquisitive company are a true leader in their field providing premium services & products across their customer base. Led by an inspiring Managing Director this business is ever changing & growing.

Working under the guidance of a dynamic Finance Director & Financial Controller, the Management Accountant will support the day-to-day running of the Finance function as well as partnering with operational teams across the business.

About the roleBased in Carnforth, the Management Accountant will be responsible for day-to-day management of the accounts as well as working as part of the wider team to help develop business strategy.The business is looking for a driven & experienced individual, that is looking to develop their career within a fascinating company.

Duties Include

  • Preparing income statements, balance sheets and other financial documents
  • Measuring the company's financial performance based on financial records.
  • Identifying problem areas and presenting recommendations to company management
  • Ensure monthly and quarterly management accounts are completed to agreed deadlines
  • Ensure VAT accounts and quarterly VAT returns are completed on item and accurately
  • Manage the audit process and liaising with external personnel
  • Budgeting and monitoring of budgets to actuals

About youThe ideal candidate for this position must have:

  • A formal Accounting Qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) OR QBE with relevant industry experience
  • Be driven by excellence & continuous improvement
  • Experience with budget & risk management
  • Exceptional Communication skills
