- Salary: £50,000 TO £60,000 per annum (£24.65 p/h PAYE to £29.59 p/h PAYE) - Day rates and Umbrella available
We are seeking a Qualified Financial Accountant to join our client's team on a temporary basis. This role is crucial for supporting our finance department with VAT returns, assisting in the upcoming audit, and aiding with year-end procedures.
Day-to-day of the role:- Prepare and submit VAT returns in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provide essential support during the external audit process scheduled for February.
- Assist with year-end closing processes, ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Collaborate with the finance team to implement best practices and improve financial procedures.
- Ensure all financial practices are in line with statutory regulations and legislation.
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Proven experience in managing VAT returns and understanding VAT legislation.
- Strong experience in preparing for audits and year-end financial tasks.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
