Kenton Black Finance are exclusively supporting a privately owned business to strengthen their finance function by appointing a new Assistant Accountant. Established for 65+ years, current turnover is in the £25m region, with further growth forecasted through acquisition.

Your New Role as Assistant Accountant:

Reporting to the Finance Director, as Assistant Accountant duties will include:

Assisting with monthly management accounts preparation and reporting
Bank reconciliations
Maintaining the fixed asset register
Supporting with cash flow reporting
Intercompany accounts reconciliation
Producing stock valuation reports
Supporting with payroll preparation and processing
Providing support with purchase ledger and credit control as and when required

Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:

The ideal candidate will be studying CIMA/ACCA or be AAT qualified (a study package will be offered to the successful candidate). Good grounding exposure to accounting processes are required with the desire to build on existing skills across all areas of finance. Good Excel and data handling/analysis skills are also required.
