Finance Manager - Idyllic location in the most beautiful setting - South Lakes Area

We are seeking an ambitious and confident Finance Manager to join our team. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this role is crucial for maintaining the financial health and ensuring efficient financial operations within the company.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Produce weekly and monthly financial reports, including month-end management accounts and weekly revenue reports.
  • Review end-of-day till reports, including cash and credit card reconciliations.
  • Prepare annual budgets and periodic re-forecasts.
  • Conduct regular cash flow forecasting and ensure effective cash management.
  • Manage the sales and purchase ledger functions.
  • Oversee the Assistant Accountant and Accounts Payable Assistant, providing line management and support.
  • Handle monthly payroll and periodic VAT returns.
  • Fulfil statutory requirements, including annual audits, Companies House filings, HMRC returns, and payments.
  • Review and improve processes, procedures, systems, and controls across the business.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a similar level role, 
  • Well-organised, proactive, and highly detail-oriented.
  • Strong Excel skills are essential.
  • Experience in people management and business partnering with key stakeholders.
  • Preferably fully AAT qualified and/or part/fully ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified.
