Business Development Manager

Location: CarnforthPosition: Full-time, PermanentSalary: Negotiable IRO £30k - £35k per annum plus company bonus incentives.

Role Overview: We are seeking a proactive and dynamic Business Development Manager to join our client’s team. This office-based role is pivotal in driving business growth by identifying and developing new opportunities, expanding clientele, and fostering strategic partnerships. The successful candidate will support the Sales and Marketing department in meeting revenue targets while enhancing market presence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively seek out new business and generate leads, pursuing new opportunities by building and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
  • Proactively identify and approach prospective clients to understand their needs. Taking a consultative approach and using strong communication skills to develop relationships.
  • Coordinate and host Teams meetings and face to face meetings with potential clients to explore their needs and present services effectively.
  • Create tailored proposals for potential and existing clients. Present and negotiate to finalise agreements.
  • Use market research tools to identify growth opportunities and new client segments.
  • Prepare regular progress reports and present key performance metrics to the Sales Manager.
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and product developments.

  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, particularly in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Customer-centric approach, with a deep understanding of audience segmentation, targeting, and engagement tactics.
  • Strong interpersonal and networking skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Adaptable and results-oriented, with a growth mindset.
  • Proficiency in market research techniques and CRM systems. Proficiency in using technology, including Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
