Radar Equipment Engineer

Warton

Paying between £47,500 - £52,000 (DOE)

ARM has partnered with a large defense client who is looking for an experienced Radar Equipment Engineer to work on the European Common Radar System (MK2) based out of Warton.

Responsibilities:

  • Support in the management of the Radar supplier, including participation in the Supplier engineering reviews
  • Support in the development and maintenance of the ECRS (Eurofighter Common Radar System)
  • Provide EDR (engineering design responsibility) support to the Integrated Test Facility activities for the Step 2 Equipment
  • Provide support to the delivery of the Step 2 Equipment into sub-system test, Avionics systems integration and flight test - including support to creation and review of test plans & reports and subsequent analysis of System Problem Reports
  • Liaising closely with the Supplier, Air Service and external stakeholders to ensure all technical scope for the 'External Use Cases' is captured
  • Provide Systems and Equipment engineering review of supplier-submitted Documents in support of Step 2 Declaration of Design and Performance

Experience required:

  • Degree or HNC in a related Engineering/Science-based discipline or equivalent relevant experience
  • Experience of using toolsets such as DOORS or PLM Team Centre
  • Knowledge of Airborne Radar Systems Integration
  • Understand the process of specifying and delivering equipment against the specification
