Reed Education is seeking a dynamic Maths Teacher to join a supportive school in Lancaster. The role is to start immediately on a long-term basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of the Maths curriculum, effective communication skills, and a dedication to creating an engaging learning environment for students at KS3 and KS4 levels, with KS5 being an advantage.

Day-to-Day of the Role:

  • Delivering Maths lessons in line with the curriculum, ensuring a high standard of teaching and learning is maintained.
  • Creating a stimulating and safe learning environment for all students.
  • Engaging students in Maths, fostering a passion for the subject.
  • Preparing and marking assignments, tests, and exams.
  • Monitoring and recording progress and providing feedback to students and parents.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the school’s continuous professional development.
  • Upholding the school’s policies and safeguarding procedures, maintaining high standards of discipline and behaviour.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Recent and relevant experience teaching Maths at KS3 and KS4, with KS5 experience being beneficial.
  • Demonstrated excellence in classroom practice with strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
  • A reliable and committed individual who can serve as a positive role model for students.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to be punctual, patient, and confident when working with children.
