We are seeking an experienced Criminology Teacher to join our school in Borough of Sutton. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of the national curriculum and be passionate about teaching Criminology to young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging lessons to students in Key Stage 3 & 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5.
- Meet the diverse needs of students by delivering lessons using differentiated instructional techniques.
- Educate students about literature and promote their appreciation of it.
- Engage students in reading aloud, discussions, and debates to develop their verbal skills.
- Developing students' writing skills and providing opportunities for critical thinking development.
- Ensure that the classroom environment is safe and flexible for students to learn effectively.
- Establish a collaborative and independent working environment for students.
- Monitor student learning and adapt instruction methods to meet individual needs.
- Inform parents or guardians about students' academic progress and social and behavioural issues.

Requirements:
- An excellent understanding of the national curriculum guidance for Criminology.

- Ability to plan and design effective lessons using a variety of teaching methods.
- Establishing an environment that fosters Criminiolgy learning for the pupils.
