Keep reading! A Carterton Primary School has a vacancy ASAP for a One to one Teaching Assistant, as they have a higher percentage of the KS1/KS2 student body with SEN learning difficulties for the new academic year.

They require more staff to offer more specialised lessons, you will be given the materials adapted from the KS1/KS2 curriculum by the class teacher. Your time will be divided between Year 1, Year 2 & Year 4, subject to be altered depending on the needs of the Primary students.

The One to one Teaching Assistant role:

  • Assist classroom activities - Work in partnership with teachers to plan and perform dynamic lessons to pupils, implementing inclusive and creative strategies. 1 to 1 support may be required.
  • Excellent support team - opportunities for progression, essential for aspiring Early Careers.
  • Supporting and nurturing the environment for the Oxfordshire based students to absorb a solid foundation of their education. Previous understanding of the national Key Stage 1 & Key Stage 2 curriculum is not essential, ability to adapt to new content is key.
  • Awareness of child safe-guarding and ability to highlight concerns to senior teaching staff.
  • Promote holistic student growth, contribute to creating a safe cohesive classroom.
