Ideally you would spread the hours over all 5 days - as this is a manufacturing setting, it will be an on site role.
The FTE salary is 38,000 (30,400 for 30 hours).
The role:
- Monthly Management Accounts: Prepare insightful reports that drive business decisions.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Ensure accuracy and transparency in financial reporting.
- Prepayments, Accruals & Fixed Asset Register: Keep our financials in check, ensuring compliance and smooth operations.
- Cash Flow Management: Forecast and monitor cash flow to ensure financial stability and flexibility.
- Payroll: Manage weekly payroll.
- Sales & Purchase Ledger: Oversee transactions, maintaining accurate ledgers and driving efficiency.
- VAT: Handle quarterly VAT reconciliation and returns with precision.
- Bank & HMRC Liaison: Be the main point of contact with our bank and HMRC, ensuring smooth interactions and compliance.
- Product Costing & Customer Quotations: Contribute to pricing strategies and help create accurate quotes for our customers.
- Cross-Department Liaison: Work closely with office and factory managers on workflow, stock management, and staffing levels to ensure operations run smoothly.
- Support Accountants: Assist in the preparation of certified accounts, adding value to the broader financial team.
The ideal candidate:
- A solid background in finance and accounting, ideally with experience in manufacturing or a similar sector.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with both office and factory teams.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
