I'm delighted to be working in exclusive partnership with a leading global specialist manufacturer in the appointment of a Site Controller/Financial Controller for a key segment of the business.

This is a fantastic opportunity working in an interesting, dynamic and collaborative environment for an individual with sound manufacturing accounting/costings experience, overseeing a small team of 3/4 largely transactional colleagues.

 

About the role

You'll be joining the organisation as Financial Controller, responsible for the oversight of all financial aspects of the manufacturing site. The role will predominantly be a typical Site Controller role, involving budgeting, forecasting and the implementing and maintenance of robust financial controls, supported by your proven track record of driving sound financial performance, optimising processes and ensuring compliance.

The role will be joining a growing part of the business with significant market opportunity in an established and expanding business. 


Key duties will include: 

  • Oversee all aspects of the financial function - Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Banking and more
  • Preparing and publishing all monthly financial statements - Consolidated Management Accounts pack with P&L, Balance sheet, KPI Analysis, Causal Analysis and monthly report writing
  • Working alongside senior leaders to provide business support and financial analysis
  • Managing the finance team - performance management, appraisals, redundancy, coaching and recruitment as required
  • Establishing and adhering to robust internal controls policies, financial procedures and accounting policies
  • Coordinating the preparation of budget and financial forecasting
  • Cost cutting projects across the site
  • Treasury management - Cashflow, forecasting and banking
  • Streamlining and improving all operations and accounting systems
  • Support the business with the financial strategy and decision-making processes
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, banks and other stakeholders

About you

You will be a qualified accountant (CIMA OR ACCA - unfortunately QBE candidates are unable to be considered) with a minimum of 5 years PQE within a manufacturing environment and sound costings exposure (standard costings).

You will be able to demonstrate sound ERP system usage and Excel knowledge, alongside strong analytical and problem solving skills coupled with your effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Alongside these key skills, you will be comfortable working effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with strong attention to detail and organisational skills. Typical reporting turnaround time is 3 working days.

You will work closely with various financial and non financial stakeholders such as the Plant Director.
