Estimator
Location: Whyteleafe CR3 6SF
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 pa
Seeking a skilled individual to join our team as a Demolition/Deconstruction Estimator in an established Estimating Division.
We are seeking a qualified professional Estimator who will be passionate and engaging in their approach, promote positive cultures and behaviours and commercially manage projects to the highest standard. You will be focussing on continuous improvement and meeting and exceeding our clients' expectations.
Estimator Responsibilities:
- Review architectural / structural drawings, specifications, and other project documents to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
- Collaborate with clients, project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
- Analyse and quantify materials, labour, and equipment required for each project.
- Prepare and present detailed cost breakdowns, proposals, and bid packages.
- Track and update cost data to ensure accuracy and reflect any changes during the estimation process.
- Conduct thorough reviews of project requirements to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Perform take-offs using estimating software.
Estimator Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills to be able to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Proven experience as a construction-based Estimator, including proficiency in take-offs.
- Strong knowledge of deconstruction/construction methods, processes, and materials.
- Good analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to interpret and analyse architectural and engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with industry best practices.
- Experience in using various construction online document systems, such as Procore or Aconex.
