Description

Overseeing the entire credit management process, ensuring timely payments and reducing debtor days.
Implementing and managing credit policies and procedures in line with industry standards.
Identifying potential credit risks and implementing effective risk management strategies.
Coordinating with the sales team to ensure credit issues are resolved promptly.
Preparing credit reports to senior management.
Ensuring adherence to regulatory standards within the FMCG industry.
Managing and motivating a team of credit control professionals.
Work with the Logistics and Customers Services team in regards to EDI
Participating in continuous improvement initiatives within the Accounting & Finance department.
Monitoring of Over 90-day debt and assist in reduction of this through necessary means including resolving disputes, collecting payments and legal action.
Notification of weekly sales and credit notes to Invoice Finance.
Account dispute/query resolution.
When required initiate proceedings to ensure outstanding debts are bought to a satisfactory conclusion.
Review the company credit control procedure and develop and implement enhancements where required.

Profile

A successful Credit Manager should have:

Proven experience in credit management within the FMCG sector.
Solid knowledge of credit-related laws and regulations.
Strong analytic skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
An understanding of Debt factoring / Invoice Financing is beneficial
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office.
Worked with EDI Systems
