An exciting opportunity has arisen for a diligent Credit Manager to join the Accounting & Finance department in a leading FMCG firm. The successful candidate take ownership of credit operations and ensuring timely payments.

Description

  • Overseeing the entire credit management process, ensuring timely payments and reducing debtor days.
  • Implementing and managing credit policies and procedures in line with industry standards.
  • Identifying potential credit risks and implementing effective risk management strategies.
  • Coordinating with the sales team to ensure credit issues are resolved promptly.
  • Preparing credit reports to senior management.
  • Ensuring adherence to regulatory standards within the FMCG industry.
  • Managing and motivating a team of credit control professionals.
  • Work with the Logistics and Customers Services team in regards to EDI
  • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives within the Accounting & Finance department.
  • Monitoring of Over 90-day debt and assist in reduction of this through necessary means including resolving disputes, collecting payments and legal action.
  • Notification of weekly sales and credit notes to Invoice Finance.
  • Account dispute/query resolution.
  • When required initiate proceedings to ensure outstanding debts are bought to a satisfactory conclusion.
  • Review the company credit control procedure and develop and implement enhancements where required.

Profile

A successful Credit Manager should have:

  • Proven experience in credit management within the FMCG sector.
  • Solid knowledge of credit-related laws and regulations.
  • Strong analytic skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • An understanding of Debt factoring / Invoice Financing is beneficial
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office.
  • Worked with EDI Systems
