This role focuses on delivering significant projects within the Ministry of Justice and educational sectors.
The Role: As the Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of quantity surveyors while managing the financial aspects of high-profile projects. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of quantity surveyors, providing mentorship and support to ensure successful project delivery.
- Oversee the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for Ministry of Justice and educational projects.
- Manage procurement processes and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Monitor project costs and performance, implementing effective cost control measures.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and resolve any financial concerns.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a strong background in managing teams and delivering projects for the Ministry of Justice and educational sectors.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and numerical abilities, with attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
