Site Supervisor - Waste Recycling / MRF
34k-35k Basic Salary (negotiable depending on experience) + Pension
Based in Kent
Excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Supervisor to join a leading UK Waste Management organisation, based working out of their recycling facility/plant in Kent which specialises in glass, aluminium, ferrous metals, paper, cardboard, plastic film and plastic bottles.
Job Summary:
- Site Supervisor to oversee all aspects of production, logistics, materials and staffing on site.
- To work with the Operations Managers to oversee and enforce the existing procedures and processes in accordance with the company systems, Health & Safety requirements and legislative regulations.
- Enforce time keeping of all staff to maximise the MRF plant efficiency.
- Liaise with Ops Manager to coordinate all ongoing and planned site operations as needed to ensure an efficient operation is maintained and all resources are utilised to their maximum.
- Inspect materials being produced and baled for quality and irregularities, inspect loads leaving site to ensure they are of the expected standard before leaving site.
- Ensure Site Rules and Health & Safety are always adhered to by all site users, reporting all H&S breaches and working with the Management team to continually improve.
- Oversee plant operators to ensure they complete their mobile plant checks properly, ensure mobile plant check sheets are complete and liaise with Ops Managers with regards to repairs, maintenance and servicing of mobile plant.
- Assist Team Leader in resolving issues and helping to reduce MRF plant downtime.
- Fully employed and permanent position, based on a 45 hour week.
Key Requirements:
- Essential you have experience within the waste and recycling industry, ideally within a materials recycling facility or materials recovery facility.
- Similar Team Leader or Site Supervisor level experience.
- Knowledge of waste recycling legislation, regulations, standards and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills.
