SCIENCE Teacher required for an 'Outstanding SEN School' in the Medway area. Start date: 22 April 2025 - 18 July 2025 with a view to be considered for a permanent position September 2025. 5 days per week
Looking to recruit a Science Teacher to work with students that have Complex Needs and Learning Disabilities KS3.4 & 5 - working at low ability primary level (would potentially suit a primary teacher with a science subject specialism). The students are not working towards any formal qualification.
Full time MPS + SEN allowance
As a Teacher you will:
- Teach the science curriculum, planned and adapted for the needs and ability of the KS3,4 & 5 students
- Classes of about 6-8 students with varying Complex Needs and Learning Disabilities - making lessons practical & individualised for each student
- It is your duty to inspire and deliver a vibrant and fulfilling learning experience to maximise the potential of every student.
- Full planning, assessment and evaluations of each student and working with EHCPs.
- Working as an SEN Teacher within this outstanding school with facilities for engaging students with learning needs
- Being able to work and manage many teaching assistants/other adults in the classroom for the studentsā needs.
Teacher qualification with QTS is essential
- Previous experience working with Special Educational Needs students, MLD and Autism
- If you have worked as a primary or science teacher and have an interest to work predominantly with SEN students this position would be a great step into the SEN sector.
