Hays are currently recruiting for a successful manufacturing company based in Cheadle who are seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join their team on a 12-month contract.
Your new role
On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for:
- Providing assistance to the Management Accountant and other members of the Finance team as required.
- Accruals and pre-payments.
- Assisting in balance sheet reconciliations.
- Preparing VAT returns and submissions.
- Posting invoices.
- Assist the Finance Director with the preparation of monthly management accounts.
- Assist with Asset Based Lender processes.
- Assist the Finance Team with any requirements.
What you'll need to succeedThe successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of the month-end duties and working knowledge of MS Excel. Effective communication skills at all levels, including stakeholders, are essential. You will have the ability to work as part of a team and work to tight deadlines.
