An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Spanish-speaking Group Accountant to join an internationally recognised organisation. This role offers a competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 and is based in South Manchester. What you'll do:

As a Group Accountant, your role will be extremely broad encompassing reporting, forecasting and business partnering with subsidiary businesses and Head Office leaders. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our international entities by providing financial guidance and implementing robust financial control processes. Your analytical skills will be put to good use as you review and challenge monthly management accounts, converting financial data to GBP at appropriate rates. Your responsibilities will also include assisting with group consolidations, P&L reforecasts, budget collation and reviews.

  • Provide financial guidance to subsidiary entities, assisting with embedding existing and implementing new financial control processes.
  • Liaise, support and advise overseas accounting staff.
  • Review and challenge the monthly management accounts, analysing, correcting and improving output from the divisions.
  • Analyse Profit and Loss account by site, Balance sheet by entity, Cash flow historic actual and forecast.
  • Convert financial data to GBP at appropriate rates.
  • Assist with group consolidations P&L, B/S & Cash Flows.
  • Participate in P&L reforecasts.
  • Assist with budget collation and review.
  • Conduct credit control review of outstanding debtors.
  • Review and sample check key Control Reports.

What you bring:

As a Group Accountant, you are expected to bring your expertise as a qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA) along with your fluency in Spanish. Your strong attention to detail coupled with your enthusiasm and commitment will be key assets in this role. Your ability to remain calm and logical when faced with unknown problems will be crucial in this role. We value creative thinkers who can think outside the box and are willing to take a pioneering approach to higher risk locations. Your tenacity, self-motivation and flexibility will be essential in managing fluctuation in workload and adapting to new cultures and accounting methods.
