Financial Accountant | Permanent | £40,000-£50,000 | Manchester (hybrid) | JRSO31374
A fast-growth marketing agency are looking to hire a Financial Accountant based in their Manchester office, with hybrid working (2 days required in the office per week). This is an opportunity to join a business with ambitious growth plans, having grown from a headcount of 50 to 120 in the past 2 years, with no signs of slowing down.
This role reports to the Senior Finance Manager for the agency, and will have interaction with the groups finance teams who are based internationally. You will take ownership for the month-end reporting, fixed asset management, reconciliation work and overseeing accounts payable and receivable.
Responsibilities include:
- Ownership of the month-end process including journals, accruals and prepayments
- Managing the balance sheet reconciliations under IFRS or GAAP
- Supporting the Senior Finance Manager with the year-end close
- Analysis of budgets vs forecasts and providing management with commentary
- Overseeing the accounts payable and receivable process
- Management of the fixed asset register
- Assisting with tax related work including VAT returns
- Continuously looking at ways to drive process improvement across the business
Skill set required:
- Part Qualified Accountant
- 5+ years finance experience
- Experience handling month-end reporting, accounts payable and accounts receivable duties
- Knowledge of D365 or Sage is preferred
- Experience working in a services based business is preferred but not essential
- Proactive in nature with good attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced & ambitious environment
