Management Accountant | Cheadle | £40,000 

An opportunity to join a successful local business, operating with an international client base offering a range of services. This profitable business have continued to diversify its portfolio over the last 2 years resulting in further investment in their finance team. This Management Accountant role has been created to support the Financial Controller and Finance Director in overseeing the production of month end packs whilst continuing to learn and develop your own skills.

Ideally suited to a part qualified or newly qualified Accountant wanting to gain more hands on month end exposure in a busy but supportive environment.

Main duties include;

  • Prepare monthly management accounts and variance analysis
  • Budgeting and forecasting, working closely with department heads
  • Analyse financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Assist with year-end audit and statutory accounts preparation
  • Develop cost analysis reports to support business initiatives
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial support and guidance
  • Stay updated on financial regulations and compliance requirements
  • Analysing financial data and preparing management reports
  • Collaborating with department heads to set and manage budgets
  • Conducting cost analysis and identifying opportunities for cost savings
  • Using financial software and tools to support decision-making
  • Participating in meetings to discuss financial performance and business strategy
